Okay guy\'s, I bought some Tein HA shocks for my FD from a guy on here in Germany.. All arrived fine today except that one of the adjusters has been snapped off in transit!
Can these be bought as spares from somewhere? Alternatively I can see that it appears to have an outer body that screws in side the end of the shock absorber shaft.. Am I safe to unscrew this and remove it without anything flying out or leaking out? If I cannot by a part to repair it maybe I can make something to repair what I am left with..

Please can someone help..

Also I could do with some replacement bushes for the front lower joints as these are pretty worn out.. can anyone suggest where I can find these or something that will fit in place.

Thank you
Lee

Hi Lee,

Sadly Tein won\'t rebuild  HA shocks as they are very old and were never sold over here by them, but it would be worth contacting, AVO, Gaz or somebody who actualy builds shocks as they should be able to take it apart and rebuild it for you but I would get it\'s mate filled with the same gas or fluid so you dont get weird handling.

Hope this helps

That is not the news I was looking for!! So are you saying that if I try and unscrew the adjuster body out of the top of the shaft it will release the gas inside and spu out the oil?? Although I would guess not as thinking about it where would you put in the fluid and gas when rebuilding them?
If I can take the adjuster bit out I will try and fix it if I cannot by a spare? I actually have an old pair of Tein RA\'s in the garage with the same adjuster! Was planning on selling them as they are all peachy just the leg of the shock is a little corroded.
I could swap the adjuster out of them if I know that I am safe to do so.. Or use those shocks worst case.. However I would like to keep a nice matched set on the car!

Maybe your best way forward is to contact Tein on the link below and ask them whe best way forward and what is compatable with what,

Hope this helps,

One last thing, if these were damaged in transit and insurance was placed on the shipment then there should be able to be a claim made
