Guys, my FD has been losing water.

Tried to start it today, admittedly for the first time in a couple of weeks and it wouldn\'t start. Now this has never happened ever. Kept at it and after a minute or so of faffing it eventually came to life - only with a ton of smoke coming out of the tail pipe!

It was actually oilly blue smoke not white coolant and eventually died down after a bit. I popped the bonnet as the low coolant light came on and when i went to top it up i seen what looked like coolant steam coming up from the passenger side of the engine - couldn\'t make out where though (turbos?).

Any ideas? Do i start saving for the rebuild and decide if i should go single or not at the same time...

This time of year with colder temperatures smoke is much more noticeable until it comes up to temperature.  A coolant leak on the passenger side, start looking for the hose at the back of the UIM/Throttle body.  Also the heater matrix hoses come through the bulkhead there too.
