Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I have searched thro the stickies and search engine, but here goes............

When I got my fd, dash top panel above the clocks was all cracked and loose, and the panel in front of the clocks was also cable tied to various bits and pieces and the clocks were wobbling all over the place. What a mess, anyways, got the clocks out and changed all the bulbs and managed to get myself good condition dash top panel and clocks front panel with all the screw mounts intact. Now heres my question, what is the sequence to build it up again into the car without breaking any of the clips / screw in mouldings?

Im thinking :
1. screw together dash top panel and dash clocks front panel toegher.
2. attach dash clocks to car loom.
3. attach wiring plugs to back of dash top panel / front panel combo.
4. screw dash clocks via 4 screws to back of dash top / front panel combo.
5. push dash top / front panel combo into main dash and away you go.

Looks way easier to just attach dash clocks to the 2 panels combo outside car, and just push into dash, but looks like access to attach all car loom plugs to the dash clocks looks extremely limited.

Sorry, for the long winded thread, but still learning my way......... :censored:

Jeepers, Ive checked all the usual forums, and noone has the sequence to refit the dash clocks after bulb change. Bound to be someone on here, who has done this before me, that hasnt broken anything in the process...................

screw the dome to the speedo surround. then the clocks to the speedo surround and put it in like that. u need small hands to get behind to put wiring connectors in

ahhhhh cheers lad. Wasn\'t sure if the loom was long enough for me to have it all already screwed together,  and still be able to get my hand in around the back to attach the loom.
