Strange problem with low temperatures

Now that the thermometers are showing numbers around freezing again my FD has developed a strange habit...

When I start her, the "seatbelts light" starts flashing and clicking, even with my seatbelt fastened. It keeps clicking and flashing for 5 to 10 minutes, and stops when the ambient temperature in the cabin warms up....
It\'s not harmful, just slightly annoying. Anyone know how to fix this?

Mir

How about your windows mate? Do they go down and up in stages??

Looks like F100/110 relay issue.

Yep, they go down in sync with the clicking of the relais.... Until the seatbelt light stops blinking, then it\'s business as usual.

Is that relay easy to change?

jayra

I had this, it is literally the relay, and yes its simple to do

Kenji

Which one is it, and where is the relay located?

Mir

The relay is located behind your cluster/speedo meter (careful, dont break your doom again :):D). The relay is called F100 or F110. I would say get the relay out and read the number on it, then put a wanted thread up along with the relay number, which could be 100 or 110-job done

Wish I still had my dash apart for this * facepalm *

cyman

the f100/f110 can be found in the drivers footwell up high so you dont need to take dash out or anything its pretty easy tbh

Kenji

really? Ok, cool, will have a look up there tomorrow. I\'ll bring a flashlight :D
