So I have imported a 94 FD3s type R with 49K on the clock. The car is completely standard without a single mod. Have had the car running. When revving the engine it sounds fine. But when I let of the pedal the exhaust pops and there is a clicking coming from the engine. Went out for drive and it lacks a huge amount of power. Took it get an MOT and it died on me. Managed to get it going again but died seconds later and hasn\'t run since. I did a compression test. The front rotor is showing a very healthy 9psi but the rear rotor isnt even giving a reading. I turned the engine over with spark plug out of the second rotor and not even getting a chuffing sound. Is it normal for the rotor tips to wear unevenly like this or is there something else going on here. I would of thought that both front and rear rotor tips would wear somewhat the same. Just need some advice before I consider either buying another block or doing a rebuild.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Gavin

i am not totally up on this but usually the rear rotor is the 1 to go due to the extra heat back there obviously being behind the other 1

I guess so with the gearbox there would add more heat. It just seams strang that it would just go all together with the front one not showing any signs of wear. Was also thinking that why the front rotor try to fire up and run. It\'s getting fuel and a healthy spark. I know it\'s not the same as a piston engine but they will try to run on less piston. Just wondering why a rotory wouldn\'t try to do the same.

It sounds like you have lost two or more seals on the rear rotor.
