Hopefully I\'ll have sorted a few more things before next year. Should be good :D

Why have you posted a picture of a pile of snow? ;) :D lol

Does all this progress mean that Matt and I can expect you on a trackday with us soon?

Hopefully :D  When are you next doing Oulton ?

Unfortunately Matt\'s car is giving me inspiration and it will take time to get it sorted.

Why didn\'t you go for the GTX version of your turbo? It would have given you the same response as this but with more top end power?

shaunwil

A-spec only offer it as a GT version. The wheels are different to the GT35R.

The journal bearing A-spec GT3574 picked its feet up like a GT35R so the version I have now should pickup very quickly.

Update...................................

After the turbo Hot-side went spotty on the ceramic coat (surface treatment didn\'t work on the turbo) Zircotec offered to re-coat in a colour of my choosing for free. Went for the performance Black Coating and sent it off. Came back within a week looking extremely nice.

Got the turbo re-fitted and was at WGT yesterday. Car is now making quite good power, at 0.9bar it is seeing 423bhp at the Flywheel. Its making full boost a good 300rpm sooner than the Journel version (and that wasn\'t a slouch). Making full boost at 3.5k. But the way it develops the boost makes it feel closer to a twin turbo pickup where boost is always there.

Bad news is the Clutch isn\'t happy. Will need to upgrade before the boost is turned up again. Pip hopes we should see 450bhp at the flywheel with instant response :D

Should make the car a very capable trackday car. Just need to sort out the tyres and suspension for the new year.

Sounds good dude. What does the ported shroud sound like when you lift off the throttle? Or are you running a BOV?

What are you planning to cap the boost at? Just 1bar?? Think you should go for more and shoot for 500fwhp ;) :D

Are you running any kind of WI?

shaunwil

Boost Cap in the past was 1.05 bar on the Journal bearing version. It started making just extra heat after that point. We will see what this will do :D

I\'ve got WI installed on a single jet system straight after the intercooler. Its used more as a band aid to help pull air temps back down when on boost. I\'m running the faster air temp sensor too !

TBH its been the boost low down to get a good pull out of corners rather than top end figures. 500fwhp would be nice though, even if just on a high setting, but I\'d be surprised if this turbo would get there.

Oh and the ported shroud whistles on boost, sounds very cool. Even at 2k rpm its popping the BOV when you come off throttle :D

Have you thought of going pre turbo WI? That will help spoilt he turbo some more a little earlier and help create more power through out the range of rpm?
