Blimey I\'m away for a morning and there is a raft of posts :D

I didn\'t go any bigger because I want the low down spool to pull the car out of the bends quicker. When the journal was shot the turbo had better pick-up than CJR\'s GT4088. 450 - 500bhp at the flywheel should be more than plenty for the trackdays I do. I should hopefully see full boost at 3k, just hope its still happy at 7k (the journal was still pulling strong).

I was going to say there looks to be a pill on the inlet feed. Its an A-spec Turbo build. I had looked at the GT3794 from FPA but they didn\'t even bother replying to an email.

I was with Garrett before and its done me fine. A-spec turbos aren\'t as expensive as the oem stuff but are more suited to the 13b engine.

The Drain is a -10 (or even -12) line off the bottom of the turbo so never had any problems with the previous turbo !

Stu - Your more than welcome, but you need to have a ride at Oulton on a trackday. Roads just don\'t give it justice.

I\'ll keep the photos coming as it gets fit :D

i was only looking at those batmowheels the other day, very intersting idea what they have come up with, even if they didnt make a difference in how much air the turbo would flow they still look great!!

i may contact bullseye in the future as the turbo i have got they can make them capable of flowing enough for 1500HP!!! in a turbo that is a bit smaller than a GT42!!

Play suspended due to rain.....................

Just an update.

Started with an empty hole :

Got the manifold into position and bolted back into place (new washers and nuts too)

Started at the top and then jacked the car up. Joy of having a monster jack :D

Started swapping out the bits on the turbo only to find the high feed oil line and water pickups aren\'t the same as the original Turbo. Anybody know what threads they are ???

Carried on and positioned the turbo tightened down the hot-side and bolted turbo into position.

I started feeding the downpipe in only to find I should have put the V-clamp on the turbo. Loosened the bolts off and stuck it on. Tightened the turbo back down. Roughly aligned the downpipe, started putting the wastegate back on and the heavens opened !

Off to see if I can find what the threads are. Maybe off get some tomorrow !

Ordered the Filter and Restrictor off Ebay and all the adapters off think auto.

The oil feed pipe may need replacing too because the -4 end has a 90 deg bend in it and I\'m going to rung a bango that will be the bend !

Shaun how do you find your car when it has snowed?

shaunwil

Last year in the FB it was ok, but the really cold weather stopped the LPG working so I spent most of the really bad snow at home.

I did us it all year round the year before with light snow and had no real problems.

If it snowed heavy again this year I might consider putting some snow tyres on my spare wheels !

Bit more work today.

Got the wastegate clamped in to position.

Clamped up the Manifold to the hotside. Added exhaust goop to the exhaust pickup and clamped the manifold to the Mid-pipe silencer.

Rough aligned the front cover and replaced all the pipes. My Filter isn\'t looking too good. Not sure if a clean and re-oil is better than a new one.

Have to wait for the fittings now. Wished I\'d check this before now !

dude if you have lost the car in the snow its gonna be to deep to drive in so either wait for the snow to melt and it shall re-appear or if you really need to find just leave red flag on a poll beside the car:Thumbs-up

I\'ll get my coat.

Shaun car is looking awsom, hopefully next year i\'ll make it to a few track days with mine and get a passenger ride :)

Also I\'ve been to Halfrauds and bought a K&N filter cleaning kit, just need to oil it now.

Seems to be enough to do quite a few filters :D
