Removed from my JDM FC RX7 turbo. I bought the car for parts only!

I\'ve never driven the car, but I removed the diff and opened it up. It looked like it had been played with before (there was a load of sealer round the flange).. I removed it and there was jap writing inside, wiped off once I had been playing about with it though!

Anyway, only number I could see without stripping it down further was (A P012)

Any help please? :confused::confused:

I totally forgot to count the teeth and worth out the FD ratio :(

If its from an FC it might be an FD torsion diff as it fits into the OEM FC housing - its a good upgrade for a track car, might be worth checking with the FD guys - would explain why its got sealer around it etc

This might also help as some diffs fit into the Miata as an upgrade:

Thanks, hopefully someone will be able to identify it!

I\'m going to use the diff in my mx5, bolts in! Just need to make a brace up for it!

Don\'t forget the half shafts etc, I know speedline import\'s MX7 just bolted in the OEM FC drivetrain and got the propshaft shortened

Yeh, i\'ve found someone who makes custom drive flanges, so I can run the FC half shafts, so no cutting and welding of shafts!

Just need to get the prop shortened!

looks standard fc def not fd

Its not a stock FD Torsen diff for sure and it doesnt look like the stock OPEN diff from an FC.
