Hi Guys,

Just reading BANZAI and the BDC article.

It features a 13b powered Toyota AE86, with a nice large Hayward Rotary Sticker on the front of it!

Firstly, what heinous sacrelige is this!? The AE86 and RX7 have been drifting rivals for decades! Combining the two is like having Beef flavoured Lucky Charms Cereal!

Secondly... any chance of some info on how the conversion worked or did you only supply an engine? please :p

D-mac almost won the American D1 championship this year, just beaten by daijiro by something as small as 5 points!!

He doesn\'t drift this car over in the states, think he drives a v8 Pontiac solstice, but this car Is great in every way. And used it one of the drift events in the uk this year in Ireland.

He\'s with Team Falken over there I thought? Or was that last year...

Right about the Solstice though, amazing how he holds such high speeds through the Corners.

Yes he\'s still with team falkon. He got the coupe version this year as last year he was drifting a  version.

If he had won the last round of the D1 this year he would have been champion.

Carl said it was probably around 500HP

dthebuk

seen a couple of vids of the car. Looks like it\'d be an epic on track but far too sketchy when drifting. Awesome car though

re japi

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Came 2nd in recent event at Mondello.
Only second I think cos he wiped the sump out on a kerb!
Big flames from the oil being set alight.
Thankfully all is ok with the car!
