I have a bung in my exhaust to reduce noise, could this have any effect?

Are you running a apexi ecu, if you are you can cut the pim volts if they are not locked. I did a video , so look at my post.
If not running a apexi ecu, 1/4 tank of petrol and a bottle of cataclean should do the job.   MRP on here sell it.

My FD, non-cat 1993 import car, failed the MOT on emissions. Max levels are CO 3.5 and HC 1400 (I think). Test showed CO was 6.7 and HC at 2500.

The engine runs quite, smooth amd trouble free. A little rich on start up but after it has warmed up it ticks over nicely on idle and runs smoothly at speed. No smoke, no obvious fumes and doesn\'t burn oil. No cat fitted.
I have lowred the PIM settings down to 66% as suggested in another thread here. It didn\'t make the readings any better though.

How do I get it to pass the MOT?
Any help greatfully received.

Hi
I have a APEXI Commander unit. I don\'t know if that means the ECU is stock or not - I presume it\'s an APEXI ecu ?! (I\'m no expert here).
If you\'re asking if I have a separate stock ecu on the shelf in the shed, the answer is \'no\'.

In that case you have a power fc!
You can get the mixture for idle adjusted to pass an mot
