I\'ve been driving supra\'s for the past few years, aerators and tt\'s, my current TT has been a royal pain since I picked it up. Resolved all the issuses and had it running at ~400 bhp

Unfortunately, it now needs some more work, and, to be honest, i cba with it!

So it\'s being stripped at the minute, and I\'m looking for replacements.

It\'s been years since I\'ve been in a Rex, and the only thing that sticks in my mind were the rattles.

Do you unbiased:) lot have build issues, or was it limited to the car that I went in? Obviously I don\'t want less power, so how reliable are ~350 bhp rex\'s and what kind of mods are needed for the power?

Hugs\'n\'snugs.

how much money have got for a 350HP FD?

i ran a 13.00 @ 116mph in my old FD with non sequential twin turbos, 1.05 bar boost (ran that level for narly 2 years and they didnt blow up like people say they do) a slipping standard clutch with lightened flywheel. full bodykit and massive rear wing. full interior. IC, Rad, Uprated fuel system, Induction kit, Decat exhuast etc.

Quote from: m1tch;794712I am going for power at the higher RPMs, also the lag will allow me to drive off boost easier, but yeah if track racing look for some smaller turbos like a GT4088 :)
a 4088 is not a small turbo, it is a large frame turbo, check garrets site for info on it.:Thumbs-up:D

Don\'t really want to put a figure up dude, but will pay for the right one.
I\'m getting old now, so I\'m after something quite subtle, in black preferably with no BGW!

Has anyone fitted more modern style turbos? Like the batmowheel, or used qsv\'s twin scrolls?

Far too many questions for a newbie thread. Anybody point me towards a car!

How about this from the cars for sale section.

If your willing to pay around £8,000-10,000 then you can get yourself a single turbod 400+ HP car.

Twin scrolls rule on twin rotors. And so do ball bearing turbos ;)

shh, don\'t tell anyone, but thats the one I\'ve been looking at!

Waiting on parts to be sold from the supra to fund things, although the daily has decided to smoke a little from the engine today!!

This is the new turbo I got last week (waited about 8wks for it !) from A-spec. A GT3574R. Ball bearing layout with the added bonus of a ported shroud (Which I didn\'t even know about !)

Looking forward to it doing more than the GT3574 Journal bearing I had on with it coming on line sooner :D

Yum! Everyone likes shiny new things, and that sure is pretty.

Just wondered, the traffic on here seems slow, or is it I\'m just used to the other forum?

Still need to go out in another rex, been over 7 years since I\'ve even sat in one!

What size Inlet and outlet does that have

I went for a BW366 over the the GT4094R as I couldn\'t justify another £600 on top of what I paid for the BW.

Have just learned that James willaday runs a BW s480. That\'s a huge tub!

Its not all that big really. 82mm compressor & 74mm turbine. I went for this after loads of thought. Almost ordered a FPA GT3594R but they never responded to my email (even to this day). Part of the point was that I don\'t have to mess with anything else to get it up and running. My manifold is cracked but its hopefully getting fixed over the weekend. Then its going off for zircotec coating on the turbo, manifold and downpipe then before going back on.

Will they hold upto the guarantee if you get it coated? Make sure you cool the oil well for the turbo, water too as keeping the heat inside the turbo with ceramic coating will heat the BB up more surely?

My BW inlet is 4" exhaust is 3"

Does anyone know of this car

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3330505.htm

I do like the look that it has, although the wheels and bonnet are not quite to my taste, but I think it works with this car.

There isn\'t much said about the engine, where as oli\'s car seems to have a good history

Last one was coated in ceramic paint. It helps shunt the heat away from the engine bay. Haven\'t had any issues in the past. Its water and oil cooled so I should be fine. My last one lasted 4yrs so if this does the same I\'ll be happy.

This is 4in inlet and 3in exhaust.
