Hi guys,

Anyone know where I might be able to track down some decent rotor housings and end/centre plates? Preferably some good second hand ones from a cost point of view .... then again I don\'t know if it\'s possible to get new ones?

My 12A is currently stripped but I really do need to replace the housings etc. The chrome has completely come off in a few places and the end/centre plates have gouges in them where it looks like the corner seals have come loose and ground into them ( That\'s my guess as to how it happened .... anyone else with a bit more experience have any better ideas ? )

These gouges are between a half mm and a full mm deep in places. Too deep to re-use by planing them back to make it an even surface again ?

Any help would be appreciated :)

Cheers,

Conor.

I\'d talk to Tim at RX motors.  He\'s the expert in all things 1st gen.

A fantastic source of second hand & new parts.

Mines on its way down there next week.

Their number is: 01725 516 462
Now with added boost!  :burnout

G\'day ,

I have a friend down here in Trinidad who has new plates (black) and new housings to sell. I can e-mail you pics and see if you\'re interested. The only problem is my location with respect to your location. Freight would be a killer....

The end plates should be save-able, assuming they are not to worn and the scoring isnt too deep they can be ground a few thou\' and reused.
If you can get the new Housings then use \'em, Tim will be a good bet.
