Quote from: Grant Monkhouse;791750What rpms did you hit then?

To make hitting a 10 second pass even better Carl and the team ran faster than impeys methanol monster who only managed 11\'s!!! Ha. Real shame as that car should be doing consistent 8\'s and pushing towards the 7\'s

cant believe you\'ve written that, you seem to be underestimating the time and money that goes into this process. chris has been down to 8.4 and i for one respect him and tim to keep pushing boundries and learning as they go and sticking with it when it seems to be an uphill battle.
if and when you are there then you can say what you like in my opinion but you are no where near and neither am i, lets not forget many years ago reworx low 9.6 and of course ross @dragon 9.1 @ 158mph. we are all playing catch up here...

Chris\'s car has proven it can run good times, it\'s been there already but it\'s an ever evolving work in progress and he wasn\'t born with a silver spoon up his ass to buy an \'out the box\' car from Aus or NZ. So quit the nonsensical unjustified flaming.

Quote from: lowslowandold;791798is it a 10 sec road car? or trailed there? only recently has blitz started trailing and also he has been doing 10 sec passes, driving home, daily driver i think only one engine re-fresh, very reliable engine, so we shall see? also what else is that car running, stock box? rear end? presures? head, side or tail wind? humidity? turbo? what porting/tuning i dont think you guys should be so please with the those result, as your still of the pace with oldones?

but good luck with the future may be enter the HKS series?

grant i would also pipe down, for some one who is yet to run any quarter miles, so some respect to RX motors impey and tim

I wasn\'t having a dig at them all. I have got the utmost respect for those guys. It is obvious they are having issues with things but have done some 8 second passes this year.

So less of the gang banging please.

Read post above. It was all in jest. Just as what others have done about others cars ;)

yes grant but those jesting about others can, as they have achieved, you have done nothing other than get peoples backs up.

Chill. Read above posts. I thin with impey and the guys competing against that tube frame datsun they have been trying to push a lot further to go faster and they will hopefully knock those tenths off one at a time.

I know his car is caged for 7 second passes now and want them to get there. Even a 7.999 would be amazing. Me and my dad talked to chris at santapod a couple of years ago when he had just done an 8 second pass and he was a great guy to chat to and told me a lot of things I wouldn\'t have thought he would share about his car which I appreciated a lot.

Well all I can say is have apologised on that matter.

It is a road car in the sense that Marks and everyone else\'s is and has MOT and tax and drives on the road.It was 29 degrees air temp that day too.
It is a full bridgeport built and tuned by me with stock rear end as in drive shafts and stock gearbox, diff etc.

As for the quip about being off the pace of certain other engine builders it should be recognised  that we have built and tuned engines that have soundly beaten them (Including oldones) on circuit racing many times  and lasted a long time ie more than a season of racing flat out at over 500hp and also recognise that we don\'t only build race blocks but tune engines and install them and choose and make ancillaries that make them work so effectively for example our Apex seals.

Apparently putting details of your car spec in your signature means the nice folks on exile-rotorsport think you\'re a fool.  I can think of no higher compliment!
