hey there ..im chris from birmingham ..with some luck im picking up my first fd tomorow an wanted to know what areas i should check ..i have already checked the compression an front an rear are showing high 7\'s an the car is almost standard (it a type R on a 96plate ) can u please point me the right way on what i should be looking for as i dont know a great deal about thes cars

make sure it starts well both hot or cold (should turn over 2-3 times before it starts), for all the obvious things when buying a used car and get some pics up when you get it, im sure some of the more experienced folk will help you out more :Thumbsup!

Ok I now have a car :-). ,, pictures to come when I get chance ,, mods are hks exhaust ,, turbo timer ,, quick release steering wheel ,, apexi air intakes and blitz bov ,, has a few body mods that are not the best ,bucket seats,, apart from that it\'s standard ,, engine rebuilt a few years ago an hasn\'t done much mileage starts straight away hot an cold an just needs a bloody good clean as it\'s been sat for a wile

Pleased it sounds like you have a good car,

Keep an eye on the water level and only check to see that you can see water via the cap actualy on the engine,
