Mine are a leather and a bit battered so i am going to restore them, figured it would be easier to take them out and carry out the restoration work as opposed to trying to restore them whilst in the car.

Any advice on how to remove them would be really useful as i\'ve never taken a set out before !

Thanks

Mark

Mine came out with a 12 or 14 inch socket, nothing else needed or involved at all.

Providing it\'s a standard fitment your seat should be held down by seat rails which will have 2 bolts on each, 2 at the front and 2 at the back, lean down into the footwell and you should see them plain as day when you roll the seat all the way back :)

Welcome :) just make sure when you put the new seats in you align the rails with each other first (pull the lever and slide the main rail and slide it around until it\'s level with the other one) and you\'ll save yourself a lot of hassle trying to do it while there\'s weight on them :)

That\'s what you\'re looking for, undo the 2 (3?) bolts on each rail and, providing your seats not heated or anything, it\'ll just lift straight out. Each seat will have 2 rails with some fair nuts on the front and back, usually 12\'s or 14\'s, and if OEM can sometimes be torqued up quite tightly.

oh and on the FD there is like an emergency support bar situated next to the tranny tunnel, remove it or the seat wont come out!

also dont forget to unplug the seatbelt sensors!

slide the seat back as far as you can, at the front there are 2 X 14mm bolts, one on each rail, these might be covered by a plastic cover, this slides off if you slide it away from the seat. Remove the 2 bolts then slide the seat forward

Again there are 2 X 14mm bolts on the rails then a bit further back in nearer the transmission tunnel there is another 14mm bolt that holds on a bar to keep the seat straight when sliding back & forth, this may be covered by a patch of carpet held on with velcro. Once these 3 bolts are removed tilt the seat forward & disconnect the seatbelt sensor & its free to remove
