hi ive got a non turbo 88 rx7, having a few problems with it at the moment,,, dificult to start when warm,,,, uses more fuel than any car i know,,, and backfires throu the exhaust continuasly when de, excelerating,, any ideas ?:flamed

I know that the EGI sometimes has difficulties starting vs the turbo, perhaps get a compression test done. Also it might be the case that there is a leaking injector - with regards to the use of fuel....I have a turbo II :rollin

I don\'t know if its just me, but my EGi did seem to use more fuel that my Turbo II does. Saying that, i don\'t use my TII daily so i can\'t be sure :confused:

Same here, \'89 EGI, loud as :censored:, runs so rich you cry and choke if you stay in one place too long, and makes a hell of a racket.

Backfires are normal, happens a lot even on the EGI\'s, mine spits all the time when letting off, every once in a while you get an ear splitting CRACK and a nice bright light :Laugh

Likewise! The similar Porsche isn\'t so bad, but the MR2 is just non-comparable. Plus, the FC is a rotary, which automatically makes it superior to the porsche and the MR2. :driving
