Due to unforeseen circumstances unfortunatly for sale is my 1992 black FD3S.

Basically my wifes car has suffered from diesel runaway (look on youtube/google if you havent come accross it before, very destructive!!) resulting in need for new engine/turbo/injectors/DPF filter. Having only had it since september the cost for this little lot is more than the cars worth and although she\'s got a runaround for the moment the fact i have a car sat in the garage that comes out once a week isnt going down too well. However, im in no rush to sell and if I get the cash saved up to buy her something decent before it goes then the RX7 will be staying.

The car its self was reimported from the channel islands last november. The previous owner had the car built by WGT who confirmed he work had been done by themselves prior to me purchasing. I also have a summary report of the car from pip done for the previous owner.

Spec is as follows:

 Engine

WGT streetported engine, rebuild was approx 5000 miles ago.
WGT V mount intercooler/radiator set up
  WGT alloy AST tank
ERL water injection fitted by WGT
  NGK race spark plugs
550 primary, 1600 secondary injectors on uprated fuel rail
Walbro 255 fuel pump and uprated FPR
  Greddy T78 single turbo
  Greddy manifold
External wastegate plumbed back into exhaust
Full 3 inch turbo back exhaust, with katimoto back box. Not stupidly loud to upset the neighbours but gives a real nice sound on boost
Apexi Power FC ECU and commander
  Blitz dump valve
Greddy profec B spec 2 boost controller
  Greddy turbo timer
  RIAT air temp sensor
  Battery relocated to boot

I also have a Greddy elbow that hasnt been fitted yet. I may well get round to this over the next week or so which will also straighten up the pipe run. Will include in sale if not fitted anyway.

I also have a apexi BNR fuel pump ready to drop in which again will include at asking price or very close to.

The car starts first time hot or cold. The turbo was rebuilt by WGT at the same time as the engine. Hits full boost by around 3900rpm, but capable of well over 500bhp. Compression tests welcome.

  Transmission

  Exedy twin plate clutch
  Dragon diff brace
  Uprated Shift Collar

I also have a B&M quick shift that could be fitted if you prefer.
Unfitted poly diff bushes also included

  Suspension

Ohlins shocks with mazdaspeed springs. Really good combination that gives good handling whilst maintaining a good level of comfort for day to day driving.

Fully polybushed at the start of the year. 4 wheel laser alignment done to original mazda specs

  Brakes

Black diamond front discs with mintex pads
Power slot rear discs with yellowstuff pads (1000 miles only)

3 piece OZ split rims with 235/40/17 front (Goodyear eagle F1) and 265/40/17 rear (Falken FK452 1000  miles only) The wheels have a nice dish and polish up well. However laquer is peeling around the bolts and would benefit from a refurb.

Feed replica front bumper. This has been grafted onto a standard bumper where it mates up to body and fit is reasonable. Veilside skirts and rear spats, both believed to be genuine and good fitment. Composite bonnet, which I believe is mazdaspeed style.

Overall body work is solid, no rust and paintwork polishes up well. Has got some blemishes as to be expected with a car of this age.

Underneath is solid. Rear inner arches were stripped back and treated with Por 15 along with majority of the rear subframe.

Inside car has Greddy boost gauge and EGT gauge(not currently working). Dash has been wrapped in 3m carbon film.

Luke Racing 4 point harnesses are also fitted. Drivers seat has been modified to allow additional travel. Rear seat fitted.

Car is running circa 400bhp at around 0.6 bar on what Pip described to me as a \'very conservative map\'. I was planning on a remap after the elbow and fuel pump were swopped to 1.2bar which should see over 500bhp.

In an unscientific test of performance side by side with my mates 4.5 tvr cerb (dyno\'d at 407bhp) from 30mph rolling start mine gets the jump and is then pretty much neck and neck.

Mot til december. registered as 1.3 so cheap tax (taxed to end of nov).

Car has 107,400  miles on the clock, this was in km up to 106,268 (dec 2010) when I had it converted to miles. As already said, the previous owner of 5 years was resident in the channel islands so it saw limited mileage and on a small island with heavily enforced low speed limits means it hasn’t been thrashed around.

Will get photos up once i sort a photobucket thing out but can email anyone interested in the meantime.

Ive tried to give as much info as possible but if I havent covered anything then just ask.

Price drop to £7,200.

With winter approaching im unlikely to drive the thing more than a handfull of times over the next 4 months and could do with the cash to do something different next year
