Any way of keeping cabin temps down?
You can feel lot of heat from the engine bay. Needs a rear vent really but for now have raised the back of the bonnet to keep air flow going threw the bay better and does seam cooler as i have electric fans that run all the time with ignition on.
Anyways back to my main prob there seams to be alot of heat coming up from the gearbox threw the gaiter and into the cabin. Any suggestions?? Also the gearstick on hard drives gets very hot but it is all metal as its a short shift.
I don\'t have aircon so can\'t just turn it on. I often have to drive with window open not that i mind the window being open would just be nice to have a cooler cabin.
Also heat wrapped the exhaust so heat can\'t come from there as that did get hot.

I feel your pain mate! I have all black interior as well ad in the day time it gets really hot in there, I however have a working sunroof do you? I obviously drive with both windows down all the time and have the sunroof tilted so air can escape like that as well. I don\'t know what else to suggest to you other than what you\'ve tried, I\'ve considered this option as well. Raising the bonnet however will make the windscreen dirty quickly and I\'m thinking could direct air away from my tmic.

All in all, I\'m not sure there is much you can do, considered fitting aircon? Not sure how difficult it is mind, shouldn\'t be to hard considering some FC\'s came with it.

P.s. Let\'s see a pic with your bonnet raised at the back.

Ill get a pic on here when i get home. Intercooler wise i plan on putting a fmic or the nicer one a v mount.
Yer sorry forgot to add i open my sun roof. (yes fully works)

don\'t wanna fit aircon its alot of hassle + aircon gives me a headake so don\'t use it even if i do have it. Use to mr2s they don\'t suffer from this prob as its all behind you lol

Well at least you don\'t live in Cyprus :Giggle

I plan on fmic as well mate, yeah post some pics. Has it made any difference since you raised the bonnet? What did you use, remember years ago I was going to do it to my Nova.

Yer tried to put picks up but it won\'t let me. All i did was took out the bolts from one side sat the bonnet up the made the 2groves in the hinge longer did same on both sides then tacked the bolts back in then put a brick on each suspension turret and closed the bonnet onto the bricks then did up the bolts then just checked the bonnet clipped into the latch properly i found if the back corners near the windcreen sit more than 1 cm from the wing it won\'t clip into the latch properly.

If you don\'t wanna make your holes longer just take out the front bolt loosen the back move the bonnet 1cm up the do up the 2 back bolts and leave the front ones out. The bonnet won\'t move when you open it with just one bolt in each side. I did this so i could see how much i had to make the holes bigger
