hi all anyone help if you are running a premix and have blocked off the oil pump does any one know what you have to do with the ecu ie what size resistor do you have to fit ? i have removed the oil metering pump and wish to know what to do with the ecu feeds to the pump now there not used ??

Bucko

i mean the oil metering pump doh !!

I believe when you remap the ECU the tuner can remove the OMP coding etc - wouldn\'t really want to run without an OMP though

Assuming you have a Apexi, you can\'t turn the omp off with a dataloggit only adjust how much oil goes in.
On a 92-95 you can cut omp sensor wire at the ecu (3A) and join it to the TPS wire (3F) but dont cut this wire this will put the light out.
It was discussed over on rx7club a while ago.

we still need to do this to mine phil, also Pm me on FDUK with my fuel pump hard wire shopping list.
cheers dude

can\'t use a resistor as the OMP sensor is basically a potentiometer, as philiwilly said above you can trick the ECU by wiring it into the TPS.

not sure if anyone has tried the above trick on a stock ECU? afaik you can\'t remove the OMP without the ECU going into limp mode.

Same story on the FC\'s - the ECU detects the coils inside the stepper motor for the OMP, and also checks feedback on the variable resistor - you\'ll get codes and limpmode for pretty much any of them that \'fail\'.

A bank of resistors would sort out the OMP, but the feedback thing is a little more cunning - I like the TPS idea though, since that is what drives the OMP setting.
