hi guys as above really

do i need a helmet for running up the strip

lee mills

Depends what your terminal speed will be.
If i remember correctly anything over 100mph requires a helmet:Thumbsup!

kiwimazda

If you run at over 100mph then yes. But also would you like to have an accident without one even at 80mph.

Grant Monkhouse

I think it\'s more than 100. I did numerous runs at over 110mph last year and they didn\'t make menswear a helmet.

Kiwi, I wouldn\'t want to crash at all but do you wear a helmet when driving a car on normal roads? Andon motorways at 70mph? Lol.

jamison1982

i have one so its not a prob, i would have thought i would have been doing more than 120 at least

I think you would need it if you do something like above 120MPH. When I did 120 Miles Per Hour, I was told by the Marshall that I should wear a Helmet as I would not be allowed run again.

Hi Grant,
Yeah I know where you are coming from, its Just I prefer to wear one when racing, fast or slow. But the final choice lies with the competitor

lee mills

To be honest last few times i ran(2 years ago) times were crap. track was not prepped very well and there was strong head winds.

Grant Monkhouse

The track will be in very good condition as they will be starting to prep it for FIA finals!!!!!

jamison1982

will be interesting to see what it does tho, not sure if being a time attack car would help lol

i have the aquamist system being looked at tho cos it keeps cutting out sometimes so wanna get that checked first, just to be safe
