well my standard turbo just runs outta puff too early not that im knocking it as its got plenty power just now and a pfc so going further should be no problem

but where to start is there any simple mods i can do too find some more boost towards the top of the rev range as it dies off too early realy

what size injectors should i go for i have no idea what size are in it but there at 90% duty running 1.1 bar

i do have a ginormic turbo sitting but im unsure as too what flange it is and if it would fit in on a normal bought manifold

any other ideas or things i should consider

Anything over 85% is dangerous, 90% is a crazy duty to run the injectors at! Whats your AFRs on that? The stock turbo is ok at 0.9 bar, anything more and it will fail quickly!

You need to fit probably 800cc injectors as secondary injectors to start with, thats after you have upgraded the cooling and ignition though.

What power are you wanting to make?

I am running 800cc secundair with a boost max @ 1 bar

-streetport
-3" exhaust
-apexi filter
-apexi PFC
-AVCR
-ignition amp
-walbro fuel pump
-fuel presure regulator

few of my specs

Thats a good stable setup :) what sort of power is that running btw?

dunno... lol

Having some issues so its not mapped properly yet. Saw a number of 300 horses but still hoping for something of 300+ at the wheels after a good mapped session.

ok well currently the car has a

pfc d jetro i presume unless this is normal for fc
fd uim and throttle body
greddy compression tube
massive front mount
billion low temp thermostat
koyo rad
sard intake with hks filter
fd alternator and pulleys (lightweight)
street ported possibly as it feels the same as my last fc
orc carbon twinplate clutch
trust 3inch turbo back exhaust

and as for afrs no idea it has no det well its safe according to carl at hayward after talking numbers and ive done loads of driftdays while on the limiter as much as possible with zero overheating and zero problems

so any idea on what next ideally in the long run i would love too find about 400hp

Yeah 300ish or so is the max on a stock turbo, if you want anything more than a T04 is well suited :)

For some reason (because that\'s the set up on MRP) i like the sound of a GT35R when I eventually (about 20 years :Giggle) have everything in place for an updated turbo! I\'m going for the 300bhp figure first then, but will take me a good while as I want to get the handling right first. She\'s far to bouncy, high and soft for me right now. I like it to be firm and tight and very responsive ;)

Mr hat, if you\'re stuck and who do you call........ anytime;)

ian if it was n/a your the first person i would call but you told me you hated turbos lol

flatout

what  FPR you running ?

I want a good map on this, and then i need to do suspension + underbody, and later bodyworks first. Then i am able to get the cooling i want and then i\'ll find my self a nice turbo.

@the hat,

I recommend you upgrade the fuel system. You could, if it is within your budget, get a diff turbo setup combined with the fuel upgrade.

oh, and get a good wideband gauge. Very helpfull in tuning and monitoring.

ha.ha! your\'re right there and it\'s the hairdryer I don\'t like but the enginewise,I can help you there.
there\'s too many things to talking about how to  make more power, know that power\'s not everything as long you\'re hit your rear bumper againist the wall and that\'s counted....;)

the hat

well it has currently got a walbro pump and sard regulator and i swapped the standard filter for one of those shiny high flow filters

at ian i know its not everything the car coped fine with mallory which is supposed too be the fastest track for drifting but it would be fun to have more as i dont think you can ever have too much

With your setup - you should be close - it may all depend on how far the stock turbo will take you.

I run an emanage ultimate on top of a chipped ECU, 800 secondaries, walbro pump, hks shroom and custom induction pipe (single 45 degree bend), FPR, custom serial fuel setup and a little more pressure in the rails - big zorst and on 10 psi it makes 320 at the fly. I do have a hybrid turbo which will make a difference - you\'d get more power on that setup with some mods to the turbo (larger compressor, ported wastegate, bell housing on the downpipe) - that should easily net you 300 at the wheels provided you\'re intercooler and rad can keep up.

And Mr Hat -

With your setup - I guess it depends on what fuelling is in the car, and if you\'re running the stock turbo.

For more power - fuelling and the Turbo would be the next things to look into. Looks like a lot of the other stuff is already there for more power.
