Quote from: Casey;779719:( I hope Pip can get it sorted. On the other hand, if 4 gears are working OK, can you manage without 5th? Blyton certainly wouldn\'t need 5th gear, so it\'s just the journey to/from. Would using the gearbox in this state cause any damage, or is it simply restricted to 5th gear?

Good news, Courier found the part and its on its way to WGT. Hopefully Pip can get it back together in time.

:Thumbsup! Looking forward to seeing the yellow mean machine back on track! Hope it all comes together...

Ok Guys. Hope to see you at Blyton Park on Saturday morning.

Got the car back home late last night, but some issues have developed that I\'ll try to fix tonight after work.
If successful I\'ll set off about 6am to get to the track for siging on and briefing.

Casey

^^ :( I hope it turns out to be easy to fix and you can enjoy a day out on track on Saturday.

Thanks Malcolm,
Unfortunately it will not be easy and will require some major surgery. If its not going well I may just bring the Audi Diesel and hold up everyone in the corners...and on the straights LOL

Casey

^^ :(:( :eek "Major Surgery" - that doesn\'t sound good, but sincerely hope you can get it sorted in time for tomorrow.

Thanks Malcolm,
Have a safe journey up to Linconshire.

Many thanks to Malcolm for organising a great track day at this new venue.
Despite changeable weather the day was excellent. The track was a very quick, testing track with some very high speed corners, short straights and a few tight chicanes.
Enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with club members in the pits.

Hope Jim fixes his car before Rotorstock. Fingers crossed the engine survived.

Oh dear, Did it chuck a load of water out again?

How was your car Chris? Or did you have to leave it at home?

Ade
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

No water problems this time ,I sorted my cooling out and my throttle body is fine
I had a proper fail ,my top oil cooler hose split and bumped all my oil, so hope my engine is alright .
Thank to everyone especially Chris ( you know we are so going to have to stop going home on trailers Chris )
The biggest shame was it\'s a nice track but didn\'t get a chance to really see what the fc could make of it ,another day

Hi Ade,
Mine behaved and was excellent all day (phew).

Selecting reverse is somewhat of a lottery, although the tightness in the gearbox was slackening slightly by the end of the day LOL.

See you at Rotorstock ?

Jim,
If you need any help fixing the FC, give me a call. I\'m pretty good with spanners and I have a lot of experience pushing cars around the pits and on trailers LOL.

Jim - so sorry you didn\'t get the chance to enjoy the track much, but really pleased you got home safely. I hope the engine turns out to be OK and it\'s a simple fix! Keep us posted on progress.

Chris - so pleased you had no problems (well, apart from the lottery :)) and you drove him in the FD too!

Everyone I spoke to really enjoyed the track; such a great combination of corners to play with and a really "laid back" atmosphere. Having the owner of the circuit doing a "hands on" job throughout the day was a joy to see.

I\'ll be posting up some photos and a video link shortly.....

Next event (after RS8 of course) is Snetterton on Monday 19th Sept. I\'ll post up some details later in the week and hope you can both make it.
