The fan cover...

The stock one looks utter doggy doo i know you all agree! How hard is it to remove and do i present myself with any hazards by doing so? If anyone has a picture of the fan cover removed and standard fan still on it that would be good. I\'m just on an engine bay asthetics mission!

Leave it alone. Especially where you live. It helps create the suction from the fan so the air gets pulled through the radiator. Unless your putting electric fans that bolt onto the radiator. Then go ahead and bin it.

I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

I had a bad feeling someone would say that. Best get saving for a new rad and fan set up then :(

Yeah, leave it there, its how the radiator gets decent air flow, even if you removed it theres a massive viscous fan lol so there wouldn\'t be much point.

Good news it that the radiator is very close to the battery for power should you need to wire in something :)

ditto to everything everyone has already said, you\'d lose so much by taking it out, apparently, one of the Merc radiators that comes with fans already attached fits...

Will this fit as a OEM replacement though? And how hard would i find installation, i bet i could really mess it up trying to fit them right? :Hammer

Skifledanabit

the S13 is pretty similar in a lot of ways, I shouldnt think there should be too much fab work... if there is... zip tie it! lol

Yeah, I\'d break something, short wire something, set something on fire, bend something, snap something etc. Best for me to buy proper stock replacement parts and get them fitted by a professional :cool

I think the Mercedes C class (W202 shape) radiator fan setup also fits, but I think its a bit more bulky.

Might just save and get a decent AM one, maybe a second hand koyo or something. Got decide on fmic or vmic first though I guess! Appreciate all the advice though :)
