Fd3s - slow progress!

Hi all, Recently joined the forum as I thought it was time to finally get started on my Rx7 build that I\'ve always wanted to do.

I bought a shell from \'Mr Schnitzel\' today (Saturday, 23rd July 2011) Its not rolling or anything, its a pure shell... Here it is being put on the trailer, thanks to the able body\'s doing all the work while I take photo\'s lol!

(Wirral - Near Liverpool)

Then a long 4 hour journey home to Haverhill (near Cambridge) and a polish/tidy up later...

Thats it for tonight, however I will be looking it to getting it rolling and ready for the respray in 2 months time, lots of prep work!.. Anybody who has any cheap parts or free parts I\'m more than willing to take them to speed the process up... Many plans for his!

I will keep the engine a secret for now as that all begins next year... And isn\'t 100% confirmed as I have 2 ideas...

Apart from that, whole car is staying black now, but a full respray including chassis, every bolt replaced, black with purple anodized washers, coilovers to a reasonable ride height, rear will be something like the burnout kit as it looks standardish but with a subtle stance due to the spats (link to burnout kit) subtle skirts and front bumper, something that looks standard but isn\'t got a few kits in mind... 4" jap can tilted up with offset, Wheel have not been decided something with some dish and I\'m toying with the idea of having a purple anodized dish and a silver center...
Interior, red bride seats, red carpet, black suede dash and door cards with red stitching and everything else black...

What do you think?? Everything\'s not sussed yet, but I plan to get the other Rx7 which will be pearl white next year with the other plans.

Oh yeah, everything like suspension, mounts, adapters, .etc will be anodized purple lol

I\'ve put some hours into the car today and already been spending on the little bugger to my bank managers distaste!

Mainly been cleaning up all the bits I\'ve bought, things like these...

So I will clean them up some more and anodize them using this dye technique my friends have been using... I will post up the results if it goes well...

Car is looking shiny now... Also whacked some wheels under the arches so it looks more complete lol!

Ok, loads of progress since the last update.. Unfortunatly I\'ve spent the next couple of months wages so after the respray this week nothing will happen for a while!..

Sanding has begun.

Some of the bolts have turned up

Me and my friend hooked up the trailer and drove to Hundington where we picked up a fair few parts... Looks different aye

Looks like a Rx7 now...

Some more parts in my collection... All the brakes, suspension, steering components, etc.

And here she is looking sorry for herself...

Tomorrow I have recruited some friends to sand her down, after that I will post pictures up of the respray first of many (this is chassis only)
