Thanks Steve, slow progress ( my projects usually are lol!) but progress never the less!  Should have some wipers and a wireing loom arriving early next week, plus a new floor carpet so that may give me an incentive to start piecing the interior back together!

SSScoupe

Not much to report, except i now have correct wipers, battery tray and a wiring loom for the right hand side of the engine bay!

Still can\'t get over how many small bits are missing from this car!  Today i discovered whilst mounting the wiring loom that the throttle peddle has no connection to anything... at what point did the previous owner decide to remove something like that :2Confused

SSScoupe

Couple of minor updates..

I have carpet :)  A nice brand new grey through out... just need to cut the gearstick and handbrake holes!

Also been on the hunt for decent leads/coil/ and dizzy cap.  NGK leads on order, Rotor arm on order and was surprised to find that at least two motor stores had the Bosch coil on the shelf!  Just need to get a dizzy cap now!

My dad had been busy too changing the door cards... they had a rather worn and crap material on them so we ve gone for a good 70\'s vinyl look instead :)

SSScoupe

just a thought if anyone can help me on this... I ve come to put the coil in my car and its just occured to me that as the car came with no coil etc in the first place, i ve no idea if it is a twin coil or single coil model :2Rolleyes  Engine fitted is believed to be series 2 rx7 but im unsure.... any ideas>?

SSScoupe

After my NGK leads arrived today with 6 leads, its answered my question about 2 coils or 1, so I ve purchased an extra coil! ;)

for accel cable , you can use them from s1-s5 rx7 ,, depending on your motor/ carb choice
ie,, if turbo get a s4/5 turbo cable,, if NA EFI,, the 6p cable,, if nikki carbed,,, the s1/2/3 cable

the plug at the firewall is different,, the rx7 ones are square sided with push through tabs
the rx4 one has a flat flange with two mounting screws
you need to take a small file to the round rx4 hole and square it up to fit the push through rx7 cable fitting

easy as

Thanks bumpstart, i ll keep my eye out for a s1-3 rx7 one as i have a nikki carb!

Found a throttle cable in the shed hiding amongst some lamps which was bonus :)

Bit of a frustrating day trying to trace wiring :(

Coils are in, with new leads and dizzy cap which is a start but having not had to go through wiring looms before it seems a bit of a nightmare!

 ???Any ideas gratefully received  ;D
