FC and FD fuel sender assemblies

Hi everyone,

I have just got my Tomei 280lph fuel pump from Speedline imports (amazing service yet again!) and it comes with the whole FD fuel pump assembly with pump and wiring plus the cover - ie unbolted from an FD and put in the post.

It looks 100% indentical to the FC setup with the hardpipe and wiring etc with what seems to be the same power connector and outlets.

I was just wondering if the part was the same for both the FC and FD but just had different tanks for the chassis, my thinking is to unbolt the FC one, and drop this whole assembly from the FD in.

Does anyone know if the same assemblies were used for both FC and FD? Would make sense for it to.

I\'ve no idea tbh mate but I am interested in the reply\'s as I\'m just about to order an uprated fuel pump myself. Comer to think of it, arn\'t you already running a Walbro 255?

Yeah im running a 255 at the moment, won\'t be good enough for the T88, was only going to be fitting a GT4088 initially lol fueling setup will be Tomei 280lph intank with either 1 or 2 Bosch 044s inline going to an AN10 line to the engine bay.

You taking dibs on the Walbro setup? lol :rollin

When you gonna have it out? If its in the next week or 2 then yeah I\'ll have it off you. Just I need to get it in and remapped ready for RS8. Plus a whole heap of other stuff to do in the mean time.

If the weather is good I am going to see if I can get to it tonight, its only 6 screws or something on the top of the tank or indeed this weekend if not, will need to see if its the same size etc with the same connectors, they do look very simular though! Would also mean that I would have a full drop in assembly so you don\'t need to faff around with sorting wiring.

The answer is no, they aren\'t the same lol the lids are a different size, FC lid is smaller and more rounded vs the longer FD lid *sigh* thats a shame, was hoping for a quick win
