Can I Run This Turbo? And Would It Be Any Good?

Can I run this? What mods would I need and what power would you expect to see?

My T88 has a 4" inlet, so I am guessing this might be matched to a T78ish size? What did the turbo come off?

If you\'re happy with that, go for it. Stulus350/Pantelis runs one simialr and is happy. It\'s pretty impressive for the cost, certainly picks up well. Matching wastegate was turd though.
That exhaust housing looks tiny though! What\'s the A/R?

I asked about the A/R And he didnt answer so im going to stick with my twins for now (easier and way cheaper lol)

Any turbo with \'Turbocharger\' on the tag is eBay spec, basically!
As for the Mitsubishi part - Scepticism is my middle name. Conceptually.
I\'d put money on that being chinese generica.

its comes off a hyundai bus!....... big turbo.....and will flow...not sure about that welded wastegate though:(

is there not a rx7 garage close to you? when i rebuilt my engine i just popped down to Reworx and they gave me the green light to rebuild. very helpful

I just cant find the specs of the exhaust housing etc anywhere

it has a 74.5 mm turbine wheel....housing size is 18cm2...which is the smalles t you can get which would help spool.

so for ~£380 would be a pretty good buy?
 
What else would I need to run it? The w/g welds dont look ideal, probably do with filling and redoing?
 
Id guess, bigger injectors and ports (blocks going to get ported anyway)

definately...get that sorted........about a t88 size that turbo...so make sure you have the porting for it

people forget that Mitsubishi are a properly massive company... MHI builds everything from tractors to space shuttles and nuclear reactors.
 
no reason why it\'s not a genuine Mitsubishi turbo, just might not have come off of a Mitsubishi car (maybe a boat or something ).
