Quote from: antnicuk;770484no,  i have Ian (Trinds) old shell and an FD donor so i am going to concentrate on that.  I told Dad if he is going to scrap them to take all the good bits off first.  The problem he is 4 hours drive from me so its not a case of popping over to sort them out.  I havent got the room to store them even though getting them wouldnt be too much of a problem.

it\'d be a shame to scrap that Elford stuff.... hard to find these days

damm that bloomin rust.
i wonder do mazda have a few old shells knocking about or could knock up some for us all. Then you could transplant the engine and elford bits and interior over, quick paint job and hey presto :driving

i make it sound so easy don\'t i :D

its such a shame, daren\'t leave anything out in our weather, you just have to look at your brake discs after a day in the damp rainy weather.

i have the next best thing which is Ian\'s old shell  :guinness,  although i wont be using any FB running gear :Nono!
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

I hate to be a vulture, but if they must be scrapped, then I\'m sure someone from here who\'s fairly local to the cars could be arranged to go get valuable bits. I for one would be interested in either of the front bumpers, and I\'m sure the elford turbo parts would be readily snapped up.

Like Steve said I\'m sure the parts would soon go to good homes should the cars end up going as spares and I too would be interested in the TWR front bumper should Steve prefer the other.

Just to add to the above I would be interested in the Elford turbo set up.

plenty of wrecks appearing all of a sudden... must be the time of year

sad to see too though, there\'ll not be many left at this rate as time is against them all with body decay and rust.

antnicuk

I will speak to dad and see about going and getting the good bits.  The blue one has a japanese 12a engine that Tim at RX motors supplied. These were turbo charged from mazda and had lower compression.  It still runs the elford turbo and inlet though, not the jap injected stuff.

I\'m hoping to look at that one this weekend, need a donor for mine, or vice versa, otherwise we might not make Rotorstock this year!!!
