Oh Dave, anything with a stripe :D

David Nock (RIP)

Yeh, there was something about girls in striped sailor tops that appealed when I was in my youth.

Found out later what it was. Vertical stripes for my shirts......made me look thinner, hid my beer belly (a bit).
However horizontal stripes on girlie tops.....mmmmm, nice.

Look inside the bonnet of that Red Devil.....that\'s the jobbie.

I see \'WEV\' sold tonight for £515 - I wonder how long before we see it on eBay again?

£515 is cheap for a mot\'d 1st gen... even if it does need a bit of work

CHC (RIP)

I agree with that - in fact it might have been a good useable project for Spoddy (that is unless he did buy it).  Spoddy - did you buy \'WEV\'?

no, not me, is that the green one on ebay?
i haven\'t been really looking, just following the guys and their adventures on here.

i haven\'t heard from my mate who is thinking of moving his project on.
i don\'t wanna say too much as i don\'t know if it\'ll happen etc.

but thanks for looking out for me, its much appreciated. :)

CHC (RIP)

no - silver mate.  This one has been up for sale twice before in the last 8-10 months.
Nevertheless we understand about not wanting to jump yet and it sounds as if the \'one\' that is possibly being lined up is something you are quite fond of or at least very much interested in.  Either way I\'m sure you\'ll be successful at some stage this year.

i had seen an fb on ebay, but hadn\'t paid much attention to it, was just browsing through cars as you do.

like you say i know of one locally to me so will just see what happens, its a non runner but the thought of rebuilding your own car sounds great. some days i wake up and have lost interest lol, but then i look at some pics of fbs and that quickly disappears. :)

if i do get something sorted you will all be the first to know, but out of respect to its current owner who has been on here and spoken about it, i\'ll see what happens.

i have read about cars appearing and disappearing only to reappear like the bermuda triangle on here, so to me they are either trouble, or the owner got bored and wants to move it on.

have you heard why its been for sale twice before?

No Spod, that\'s the great puzzle. We know it had sill rot problems at the back but it\'s been MOT\'d since then. Presuming it\'s a proper repair job.......

I\'m still saying 18 (total of the numbers) is the Reg No. for the car in your sights... ..... trust me on this......:Thumbs-up

Judging from the previous seller information his I/D was \'idealincars\' suggesting to me that he practises in buying & selling motor vehicles, so perhaps he bought it expecting a quick fix and a mega profit following its\' sale? Otherwise, unless the purchasers are dedicated forum members or lovers of the fb rx7, we don\'t really know what goes through peoples minds when buying because without previous knowledge or support from experienced persons they have no idea what faults or bad spots they should be looking for - hence this could be why some sell more regularly than others.
At least if a sale came through the forum, we would have true knowledge of its\' condition due to members honesty.

If Dave is correct Spoddy with the 18 numbers, boy this must be a huge number plate :rollin
