Short and sweet, looking for either a series of pics, some pages from the manual, or something detailing how exactly to remove the door handles in the FC3S.

My current locks need changing, and I have donor ones, but after getting the door cards off, I honestly just cannot figure out how to unbolt the door handles the change the locks over.

And a final question is;

Changing the ignition barrel lock (I have a 3 set, 2 door and ignition, glove box and boot will be on a separate key); I have the donor ignition barrel lock complete with steering column etc, so just a slot-in replacement. My question is whether it\'s easier to cut away the sheer bolts and swap over the ignition collar, then just replace the sheer bolts, or just to swap the steering column out entirely.

I\'m guessing the latter?

Thank you :Laugh

Thanks Mitch but not really what I\'m looking for, with the door card off the bolts still look pretty inaccessible except for with very specialist right-angle tools. I\'m sure there\'s a way but no matter how much I stare at it I just can\'t think of one. :/

It\'s actually pretty straight forward... Give me a prod when you see this and I will talk you through it :)

Hi Lacey, I looked in my haynes manual and this is what i found. I have scanned it into my pc and made the link below for you. Hope it helps. :driving

Thank you! :D

Looking at the page in the Haynes manual I can see pretty much what I already know from pulling off the door card and having an eyeball in some holes in the door, but the bolts just look really awkward to get to like they need a right-angle spanner or something very specialist

The effort of scanning the page is very much appreciated though :D thank you :D

The bolts are a bit awkward to get at, but you can do it without too much hassle, it is much easier if you can get a ratchet spanner on there. :wave

Will have a crack at it probably over the weekend.

Anybody fancy answering the question about the ignition?
