Noob Needs Help - Have U Seen This Car ?

hi there guys & girls

im new hear & i need sum help ! ive seen this car on pistonheads & theres a few things bothering me , so if any 1 knows anything about the car please contact me . so what i do know is very little, i rang the guy who owns the garage n he told me tht he knows nothing about the car n tht the garage has no paper work (only v5) or details of any of the work done by previous owners >.< he did say tht the mileage was jus under 100,000 kms so im therefore gona assume it was an import. The main problem 4 me is tht the car is in north london & im up in blackpool so its gona cost me around £200 2 get my flatbed there n back n i really cba goin all tht way 2 find its in need of £1000s throwing at it T.T so if any 1 in the north london / chesham area has seen this car b 4 please get intouch . hear are the 2 links 4 the car in question ! thanks Pip

no V5 !! I wouldnt touch it with a barge pole, plenty of nice cars for sale on this forum, check out the for sale section here

DOnt no anything about the car but can tell you its an import (sticker on the back window gives it away as well as other bits).
Ask the guy if he can do a compression check on the engine and get proof of that. This will give you an idea of what condition the engine is in and how long it may have left before needing rebuilding.
Have you looked on the cars for sale section on here to see if there\'s anything nearer yourself?

If the seller says V5 only then you need to budget for the worst mate.  100km means if the engine hasn\'t been rebuilt, it almost certainly will soon.  Its badged an Efini and and dated \'96, so it IS a Jap Import.  On the plus side, imports are usually in better nick, UK cars (like my \'95) often have rust issues.

Also, harnesses don\'t look safe fitted at that angle and ashtray / cubby is missing.

Personally, I wouldn\'t touch it for that money unless you get lucky and someone on here knows the car well enough to confirm its not a lemon.

But don\'t let me put you off

thankx 4 all the comments guys , i ws assumin it ws an import & therefore a gud shell but i cant warrant the 2.5k rebuild if its needed ! TBH the guy at the garage sounded like a bit ov a TOOL aswell so doubt he will do a compression check 4 me , gona keep lukin 4 now unless sumat cums up about it
