All,

Picked up a new car at weekend an fd it does appera to be overheating, say appear because the stock water temp gauge is pretty much useless, but everytime i go for a drive get up to normal operating temp and stuff and then switch it off you hear a load of bubbling where the system is pressurising and the expansion tank by drivers side wheel arch dump coolant. I though at first as it had recently had replacemnt engine that it was overfilled, but the coolant buzzer comes on when I start it from cold because it has lost enough coolant, so it can\'t be that. I have notice the ast cap feels quite a loose fit it\'s some aftermarket jobby 1.1 bar cap, is it possibly the crap cap? water seals? or unbled system?
Advise welcome

Not an expert but I think it\'s the cap does it have a springy thing attached to it and it should be 0.9 bar thats probably why it boiling because it got to get to a higher pressure?

Speedline had one for sale the other day. It was FEED one though, don\'t know if your after a (possibly cheaper?) standard replacement job or not?

Hope this helps.
