Hey, I\'m having alot of trouble changing gears, especially at speedy gear changes. The clutch is not long in and is in top condition. I bleed the fluid in the clutch but that didn\'t help.  Its dot 5.1 fluid at the min but when I get back home next week it\'s getting flushed and dot4 through into it.  If it\'s not the fluid then what could it be? I\'m hoping its not the box :S

Could be low on gearbox oil?

leefitz

Worth a check I guess.\'cars been out twice just and sits in the one place on concrete so i would see fluid if it had leaked out. Its dosnt grind anywhere near as much when changing slow

Possibly worn engine mounts.

leefitz

Hope not. She\'s on solid mounts lol, it\'s only on the gear change so I\'m sorta stumped

Pantera Chris

worn gearshift bushing is my guess. DM Motorsport do a solid replacement that eliminates sloppy changes

leefitz

Cheers but new short shift replacement is in and only seen 2 days out. It\'s as if the clutch wasn\'t disengaging enough. An I\'m sure the we cylinder on the gearbox is in place properly too.

The clutch Pedal can be but getting your head and body upside down to adjust a couple of screws is HARD

Mine does this - 4th to 5th especiall requires \'patience\'. Most others need a lot of manhand.
It\'s had:
2 difference types of box oil
2 clutch masters
A new slave
A new clutch
Pedal adjusted
About a million bleeds

I\'ve come to the conclusion the box is just buggered.

Pantera Chris

3rd to 4th on mine crunches at hoonage speeds. Also whines to buggery which my builder knows how to fix apparenly.

SiH

Yup, mine whines worse than a 14a box. It sounds like a touring car.
It\'s the input shaft bearing - same as the good ol\' SR20 box - requires a partial box strip down unfortunately :(

TRIND-FD

As blitz said , poss master cylinder, also you fitted a new clutch, possible torn release bearing or snapped/bent clutch fork. You can check bearing n fork through the inspection plate on the bell housing.
