Hey guys,
Just out of interest, what fuel do you use in FD\'s? I know FB\'s need a lower octane but what about the later model with turbo\'s.  High octane, any brand preference?

Cheers

Petrol. Tried Diesel once and the engine didnt like it much.

And seriously - Shell V power. Drove an FD back from Scotland once that was driving on one rotor with a great big turbo on it. Maxed out at 65mph on the motorway with my foot flat to the floor in 5th with BP Ultimate. Stuck V power in and managed to get that up to 75mph

V-Power, all day long. Even after mine blew itself to bits time before last it still made more power than a stock FD... with one and 2/3 rotors  And very nearly made it into three figure speeds :bandit Jit evidently wasn\'t trying hard enough with his piffling 75 mph :evillaugh

shell v power in mine too

I\'ve heard there is a difference between UK original cars mapping and Jap Imports? Any idea?

You can run a UK RX7 on standard 95 octane yes as the ECU is different, i know cos i have/had one although running apexi now so irrelevant and now use V Power only.  Imports ECU\'s run on Japanese fuel which is higher octane as standard, this goes for any apexi ECU\'s out the box also.  You can of course tell your mapper to map/tune on 95 fuel but it\'s safer to run on 99 and reduce det....
