just wondering if this sounds normal.
5th gear, 3000 rmp and doing about 65mph on flat roads.

it seems a bit slow to me..

Sounds right for an EGI, got a feeling the TII should be over 70 at that point.

Are you confident you speedo is reading correctly.

Have you changed tyre sizes as that would have an effect.

John
I started with nothing and I have most of it left

Think thats not far out iirc. Got a feeling its between 65-70 mph.
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

My JDM TII about 10x km/h for 3000rpm engine speed in 5th gear. all reading from the stock gauage.

I\'m running 225/45/17\'s on the rear and mine reads about 70mph, or slightly over.

Did this today funnily enough-just FYI it\'s a Series 5 box, Series 2 diff and was 70MPH at 3400. Not particularly helpful I know but worth a mention.

Looking at my emange data - 4000 rpm is approx 160 kmh, so that\'s 100mph in old money.

3000 rpm would be 75 then.

let me know your tyre size and if its stock turbo II gearbox and diff and i can tell you your speeds at all rpm and gears as i have a gear calculator but dont know how to post it up here.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

L18M

cheers tony, its 235/45/17 on 9j rims.
should be stock box and assume final drive on diff as stock. i not cracked open the rear diff so not 100% sure on diff.

i cant make it come out on the boards without looking like gibberish but basically 2934 rpm is 75 mph,   give me you email and i will save it in a word doc and send it across.

L18M

wow.. thats like 120kmph
i dont even get that sitting just over 3000rpm. maybe more load due to the diff?

cheers again :)

thats based on a normal coupe FC turbo II diff final drive of 4.1.  If its a convertible it will be a 3.9 IIRC but they had smaller wheels as stock.
