only people who think they will make a killing on them without doing any research on current prices first...
That s2 Elford I posted on here a month back is still sticking... there was loads of interest in it and as a result the price went up and everyone bailed out so it\'s still for sale now.
1st gen prices have never been so low...

Hello, can you allocate C496 BUU  (White Jan 1986) to me please.
was found in Swaffham Norfolk. Dry stored and sorn for last 8 years. Will be using the undamaged engine and bits from A220 PBW to restore.

+1 back on road!

Many thanks Ollie...will do. Very pleased to hear.

There\'s a Reg cluster appearing around the BUU\'s now, that\'s 3 x 1st Gens within 25 number plates. It was a Central London Reg.

I agree.... £350 - £400 I reckon.....
If it\'s been off the road for 8 years it\'ll need more than the handbrake adjusting... and a quality respray doesn\'t come cheap....
Some lads have been buying mot\'d cars for £550 ish recently
A good project but a bit steep at that money

Needs a complete respray,that\'ll be costly!

From Page 6 of this post in April 2009. The ebay link is long gone but note the Reg.

You\'re right of course guys; it is OTT at £550. I\'ve become so used to prices over a grand in the last couple of weeks I must\'ve lost touch with reality.

It\'s easy to underestimate the amount of work needed to recommission a car that\'s been off the road for a long time.... some people get lucky but most end up spending a lot of time and money replacing parts. Even Dibs car, which is probably one of the nicest and well looked after 1st gens in the country needed plenty of coaxing out of it\'s hibernation... but get one of these ropey things off ebay and you might as well view it as a restoration project.

Well said that man .............. even I was amazed how much had to be done.

Too true. When I went to see Rexanne for the first time it looked like she just needed a couple of bushes, some brake lines and a couple of small patches of rust.

And we all know how much rust I\'ve found! :3gears-lh
