Civic Type R seats in my RX7???

Hi guys, I have been offered a seat of Civic Type R seats for my RX.
 
Just wondering if this has been done before as im unsure of the width of the seats???

seats in FD\'s are horrid to fit without conflictions....
 
Need to measure the seats you have and compare to space available, i have seen a chart of measurements somewhere on this or FDUK forum that would let you know mate.

Which Civic? EK9? EP3?

EK9\'s will be VERY tight and you may have to chop the card - they are very wide seats. I managed to shoehorn some into an NA Eunos but movement of them was very restricted.

TBH I find them a little overrated - they\'re too wide for my \'built for speed racing snake\' frame, so I flop around in them, and they give me lower back ache on extended journeys

That list is a bit screwy - I can tell you from personal experience that Zeta III\'s won\'t fit without chopping the card, and even then, they \'fit\', but they aren\'t comfy - they are way offset and at an odd angle

Honda seats in an FD!!!!! Noooo, just wrong! ;P

They\'re not Honda seats, they\'re Recaro which happen to have been in a Honda :p
I personally love the EK9/DC2/DC5 seats.  I had some DC2 ones in my EK Civic and they hugged my ass like nobody\'s business.  Its something you\'ve got to try before you buy though.  SiH and I are both of slight frame and while they dont suite him, I\'d be happy sat in one until the day I died, lol.  I plan on a pair in my FD too

...oh and if they\'re from an EP3, in my opinion, don\'t bother, they pale in comparison to proper the TypeR\'s recaros and look poo.

EDIT: Oh and the links posted by CarbonRX seem to relate to the Recaro SPG fixed buckets, not the Recaro Speed as fitted to the \'proper\' Honda R\'s.

Yeah, sorry - I should have clarified - liek all seats, it\'s a very personal thing. My other half is a tiny, tiny person, and she utterly loves them, possibly more than the Bride\'s in my FD. It\'s a proeprotions/taste thing.

They\'re also to be found in Evo\'s amongst others :o

DC5 seats, on the other hand - ultimate daddy...

I\'ve bought the seats as as when sat in them they was as narrow as the rx seats. They are actually out of the newest type r red and black and they suit my interior really well too. Once fitted I\'ll post some pics

When you say newest do you mean EP3 or FN2? Breadvan or spaceship?
