Hi to everyone, Ive been browsing for the last few months and decided to join. Im looking to buy a fc3s turbo 2 coupe, been to see a couple in the last few weeks and i can tell you its going to be hard to find something decent! Im probably going to import one from Japan now as the Uk ones are rotten... Can anyone point me to a specialist importer?

Japanese Imports are likely to be less rusty than UK spec cars. However, with the current exchange rate and VAT, you\'ll be looking at spending atleast 3k I\'d imagine on a decent Import Turbo FC with decent mileage. Half decent FCs are selling for around 200000Y in Japan. Once you\'ve factored in deregistration costs, shipping and customs, that same half decent FC would owe you just over 3.1k landed but not registered. It generally costs another 200 ish to MOT and register it. I\'d think long and hard about spending that much on an FC. Its fine if you intend to cherish it and keep it forever but you would lose a fair chunk of money if it came to selling it!

Yes that did catch my attention, Im looking for something fairly standard or stage 1 at the most. Besides it still needs mapping and not too  keen on the Ebay turbo. Will keep looking not in a rush :Thumbsup!

You may not want a powerful car but...

£3500 for a low car with 50k on the clocks, a new engine with updated internals, and a very clean shell. Say you buy a stage 1 car for £2k, chances are it won\'t be nearly as clean and you\'ll end up spending the extra money on it etc.

Depends what you\'re after really, but if you plan to keep it for a while, this car will be so much less hassle. You could always put the stock tub back on. If I had the chance to buy an fc again, this is exactly the type I\'d go for. Finding cars that aren\'t rusty is quite the challange

Anyhu, good luck!!
