Sorry guys. Couldn\'t let it slip under the radar from the few on here that want one.

I\'m not bidding on it so don\'t worry. I would want to see the chassis number before buying that though. Just incase it wasn\'t a piston earlier in it\'s life.

Also there aren\'t anypictures of the front bumper and grille. These are extremely rare to find if they are broken or missing on the car.

Email about the chassis number went to the guy in an email yesterday.

Good luck to who ever wins the bidding then. And good luck driving up to Inverness!! It\'s at least a 6 hour drive from my house. Weekend trip I reckon.

RobMatthews

what will the chassis number say if it was a piston or rotary?

LA22 is the code for the 72/73 12a twin dizzy model
( originally hardtops [ coupe ] had an H code at the end,, later coupes and sedans all cop the S code )

LA23 is the code for the 74-75 model in most countries
( i think in australia the code continues for s3 type )

LA33 is the later rx4 s3 front in some markets , though i suspect it actually relates to certain body mods for some markets ( US collision standards )

LA43 is the luce legarto ,, or rx9 in some euro markets ,, this is a very different body to all the earlier 929\'s
( the sedan is the one with the overhead twin stacked headlights )

HBSN2 is for 12a and 12at 929 LUCE/cosmo from 1981 through to 1987
HB3S is for 13b RESI luce/cosmo from 83-87
