Bonnet!!

ok i got my car back from the sprayers but with no heat thing under the bonnet/hood!!! i know if i was to drive my car the heat from the engine would burn the paint work!!!

so my question is to you all what is the proper name for it......it was stuck on before but they ripped it off to spray the bonnet!!!

need a new one!!!

i am thick!!!!

No, it\'s fine. Replacing it will probably make it a little quieter, and stop chilly cats sitting on your bonnet, that\'s about it.

Haven\'t had one for 2.5 years.

I think the correct term is along the lines of "Heat Blanketing" or something like that.

ok is it better to have it or not......just taken the REX out for a blast and the bonnet is now very steamy!!!

even after 15 mins still going strong!!!

i wouldnt bother running one, tiny weight saving and havent heard of anyone warping paint from it, i never did on old paint or new paint

i dont have one on my drifter with no ill effects, and shes allways on the hot side of life when shes out so i wouldnt panic

so it is alright then that its ok not to have it!!! the paint wont feck up and the heat is just normal!!!

Under normal circumstances it should be fine, I don\'t have it on my drifter like I said but for my good daily rex I have it but it\'s only for sound dampening.
Make it personal choice just mate, if anything the hear will help the paint dry fully if it\'s freshly painted. Good luck with the MOT
