I need to remove the head lining from the RX ready for the respray.

How is it attached ? Do not want to start pulling and breaking clips etc.

Any advice welcomed.

Thanks
Chris

Have had mine half out, if you remove the door seals and the screws from the sunvisors and centre light the front will be free to unclip. Don\'t know about the rear though. Find a copy of the workshop manual (links on here somewhere to download as pdf) and it will detail all the attahment points.

Doh ! I guess I should have thought of that

Thanks for the advice, looking up the on line manual tonight.

Carefull with the back section where the seat belt is....you have to bend the lower bits out enough to get the headlining out...just dont break it!

As was stated you take the interior dome light out.  There is a screw inside that needs to be removed.  Remove the sunvisors.  Pull the door rubber seals at the top.  The front has a couple of clips.  The back has about 6 clips that run from one side of the hatch to the other.  I don\'t remember if the side plastics where the speakers are need to be removed or not.  But they are held in with some clips.  Hope this helps.

...i have to reanimate this thread...

...can any of you guys tell me how tto uninstall the mounts of the sunvisors...?

When you take the sunvisor out of the inner clamp, you can take it off when gently pulling it. But the both mounts of each side seem to be welded in - i guess the screws are hidden, as the manual tells me there are some, can anyone give me a tip how the get the caps off to get access to the screws without destroying anything... :D

There are plastic covers on the sun visor mounts.
Pop these off and there are screws underneath - you need to undo these and remove the mounts :)
