I think the Savanna badge gives it away as I\'m sure they were only called that in Japan and pos the USA

Imported from Saudi, not sure if it was new there or imported from japan to Saudi.

I\'ve had this car in my \'Probably Scrap\' file for a long time. It was last seen for sale in the Rotary Ravings magazine in Lavenham, Suffolk in 1999. Would that be Forces Personnel? Hence the import status. Then with it being unlicensed for so long I\'d assumed it was a gonna.

Then Tim said a year back he\'d got this strange colour Green S1 coming in so I entered it as another car.

Matter all resolved....they\'re one and the same car.

Trouble is, I\'ve now lifted it into the SORN/Project category but I don\'t really see it staying there. Oh.Oh....

Quote from: dstiles999;7494221984 Original Elford Turbo
I am likley to be selling my 1984 Elford Turbo this year. The car is metallic blue, has the original fibreglass spoilers (front and rear), side skirts, Janspeed exhaust, moon roof, metal elford turbo badge and even the little elford sticker in the rear windscreen. The engine has at some stage been replaced and is running a japanese engine (this will take injectors but I never got round to doing it). The car has just been MOTed and taxed and is in good condition. There is the signs of some rust on the drivers door but this is early stages and simply needs taking down and respraying. Currently needs a tidy up on one of the side skirts (a tow job flaked some paint and this has been quickly sprayed in but has the paint edges that need some TLC). Car is in the garage for a bit of engine work but will be back with me soon so will be able to do some pictures. Bought the car from Tim White many years ago (about 20 I think) but as just moved to house without a garage it will have to go, previoulsy always garaged. Car is in Gloucester and also could be seen in Swindon area. If anyone might be interested please let me know before it goes on general sale in a few weeks time, the car is a rare "original" car in excellent condition.
