New owner in need of help

Hi guys, ive had my FD for a month now, and need some advise/help!

1stly the second turbo dosnt hold the boost! It fluctuates (tsch, tsch, tsch instead of a constant tschhhhhh - best way i can descirbe it lol) and sometimes dosnt come on boost at all... ) any ideas? the 1st is fine! Although this occasionally dosnt come on, but this is quite rare.

Secondly, the garge unplugged the boost controller ( a greedy item, fairly old they say) for the fact that it missed with it on. But id like to no how to plug it back in so i can experiment. Their\'s a female end on it into the engine bay, but i cant figure out where it would plug in, as its a electrial connection. I guessed it would go to the back of the acutators, but i cant find any sockets on these, so im a bit confused.

err and thirdly what should be the standard boost? when i first test drove the car it was set to 1kg, but after they supposedly tuned it, it was set to 0.4kg^cm(2) is this stock? This is a japanese import by the way, incase that alters things, the 255bhp version.

Now, im used to building n/a cars (ive got a 1973 toyota celica bored and stroked etc) so this is my first time on turbos, so i could do with other advise on how to mod etc! Im a pretty practial kinda guy and like to do all the work myself (3rd engine build on the old toyota) So... whats the most practial way of upping the boost safely? Im thinging of getting an Apexi ECU, but am unsure on the first steps to take! Ive just fitted a Blitz twin cone filter which im pretty happy with (hence how im able to descibe the sound of the second turbo lol) so any other help would be most welcome!

phew erm where to start, there appear to be many causes of varying boost problems with the FD although from what i\'ve read many of the underboosting ones maybe pipe related where some of the rubber has a leak or such like
Standard boost patern is (bar) .8>.6>.8 as the transition between the 2 tubbies does it\'s thing...think the kg thing you refer to is very similar to bar so sounds like yer way under which as i recall may also explain your lack of secondary turbo as it needs a bit of oomff to get it going.
Mine was over & occasionaly udnerboosting which turned out to be ECU related so i went power FC route & all good but not heard of anyone else with that so i\'ll zip it on that although can never argue against getting the ECU done i would advise you get an expert to have a look if you cant find anything obvious such as loose/leaking hoses.........

Mine has started doing that with the 2nd turbo too, I have had a look on the rx7club forum and found a post there where they had the same problem.

Turns out to be a leak in one of the pipes opening under pressure, bleeding it off, closing again, building pressure and back to step 1.

Anyway - Mine\'s going to WGT to get sorted - just need to arrange it, it has been boosting like that for three months.  I\'m just too lazy.
