Does anyone have any pictures of cars that have a custom slam panel fitted. They are at the front of the engine bay. Thinking of having one made up for myself and just wanted some ideas

I think that was the only one i had and at the moment im stripping the car to put all the performance parts on a road car(its to slow now for the track lol)

fixings were a couple on the front bar either side of the bonnet catch, one each side, beside the headlights and one at the back in the middle, hth

Hi
I made mine from thin gauge aluminium.
Designed to mount using the two front bumper mounting fastners and a small screw (one each side) near the back of the headlights.

Mine was a quick fix to cover the cruddy slam panel rather that paint it. ABS sheet which is quite easy to cut with hand tools. The protection film is still in place plus I have some edging strip to add after i stop messing with the engine ... but of course no one on here will be interested in that aspect :D
