Ok, today had its ups and downs. Started off with fitting of the Da-31 fuel pump i got off ebay. This didn\'t go well at all. It just didn\'t pump at all. Geff said it was no better than a standard pump and not as good as the walbro i was trying to improve on.
It could of been a faulty unit, but one aborted run and 88bhp isn\'t good. Will call the company i got it from and hope i can get my money back.

Anyway, Geff ordered in a new Bosch 044 for me and they fitted that in no time and got on with the mapping again.



And the results....



This is engine power, so approx 370rwhp @1bar boost:D
I\'m happy with that. not really looking for huge figures (if i was i\'d of bought a bigger turbo and stuff) but just to make the most of what i have now. Should go well on the strip me thinks

Also while i was there i got to meet Mattie and see his awesome track car. Looks amazing



Speaking to Geff about the amount of smoke my car makes he thinks it could be down to the amount of premix i\'m using. I put 500ml in per 50 litres the amount many have recommended. He suggested it was to much and to half this and see what happens
Another bonus for today was i got an Apexi commander at last. Yippy!!!

Got me some drag radials now so should help things move along... as long as i dont break anything :o

Thought i\'d try my hand at a bit of painting seeing as i had a few days off.
I\'ve now got some drag tyres on some standard wheels and while the tyres are fine the wheels were a bit chipped up after being painted black at some point.
First off i gave the tyres a sporty look by painted the lettering on them. Really liked this but it just highlighted the condition on the wheels more.



So out with the sand paper and gave them a respray in black
Had some help alone the way from Ollie




Much better, but not quite finished yet.
Want them to stand out a little more so had the idea to paint the spokes red by following the lines already on them so it came to a point at the center.

So next came a lot of taping off and covering up




Then out with the red paint


Annoyingly (VERY) the first coat didn\'t take at all...



... So i had to rub it back and start again on the spokes. Just for that added touch i also did the center capes to match



The wheels are by no means perfect at all (in fact i\'m gonna have to go over a few bits where the paint has over sprayed or lifted off when removing the tape) but from a distance and considering its the first time i\'ve tried anything like this i thought they came out ok...



Should be ok on the strip me thinks

Car is having the front bumper fixed and resprayed this week so once thats back i\'m gonna finally try again to fit my Knight Sports lights.

They look cool. Although you\'re on a slippery slope, first there are a bit of drag radials then you\'ll be winding up the boost a bit chasing an 11 second run. Then you\'ll be plastered in sparcro gear and before long you\'ll have hair like James Willday!
