Rx7 Fan Belt??

HI guys,

Do i need to order a  fan belt for the rx or will a regular performance garage have one that will fit???

Starting to squeek slightly so need to get it changed??

Am i right to say its the belt that goes around the middle bit??? you know the one???

bro its best to get both of them changed its a peice of cake takes about 10 min to change both

mine snapped at rotorstock dented my hood aswell

I got mine from jimmys, think they were about £8or so, stopped the squealing right away

have already spoken to Pip @ wgt engineering about sending me a belt out, will be doing both as a precaution canna be too careful.

The belt should be ok at the mo as only just started to squeek?? any ideas on timescale b4 it snaps like, cant see any wear or marks on the belt though??

your belt could be just be loose? a test to make sure its not too loose is if you take a straight bit on your belt (i.e. between 2 pullys) and twist it from left to right the belt should not twist more than 90 degrees if it does its too loose, if its does not even twist close to 90 degrees its too tight.

my belt had very small crackes (on the outside) and felt real rough.
@ rotorstock i was asking for it really 3500 grand launch about 28c, puts slot of stress on, it was gonna give

mmm..

cant really tell from the pics the condition of the belt but if you twist any straight bit on the belt you will be able to see if its loose or not, also check if the edges are frayed or chipped
