just a thought if it was nearly catching but not quite could be low on juice and like you said prob flooded now. one of the best ways to start a rex if you dont have the juice is a tow start. it turns the engine that bit quicker makes starting a little easier.

Simaroon

where is the usual place to tow from on the rex, i dont want to remove the bumper, dont want to rip it off towing either, theres no tow eye is there?

just thought i would get this thread back on track,  lots of replies i know, thanks. just thought someone else could have a suggestion to

now questions, :Thumbs-up

the obvious, why wont it start?

i thought probably spark plugs, ive tried searching for a guide, help to change them and what spark plugs to go for with no luck. anyone help here?

with car being stood for so long, what could go wrong?

what would you recommend i do first?, i am going to change all oils, yet to search for best oils to use. but what else?

lastly, im in south wales, does anyone know the nearest rx specialist?

1st thing to do have someone tow you till the car starts and give it a good run.

best way before poking around is to have someone tow you while your in 3rd gear at 30mph with ignition on if you think its flooded. after half a mile or so it should get going no matter how much fuel is in there.

1. Are the plugs wet after cranking? If yes it\'s more than likely flooded. Do a search on a deflooding procedure. If the plugs are dry then:

2. Check you got fuel to the rails. Pull off the fuel feed or return and crank the engine over. If you got fuel to the rail then:

3. Check for spark. Long screwdriver in a leading (lower) plug lead and earth it to the throttle body and look for spark on cranking.

Try those first and let us know the results
