Here\'s Ian\'s previous TWR fb,the sideskirts clearly drop down towards the front & rear wheels,on the Elford for sale in this thread they don\'t.

Ant,
It would be G8 if you did a thread on your car detailing mods etc, quite a few peeps here are doing or thinking of doing what your cars already got!
It must be a quick car with that engine in.

Quote from: Ian65;745030It\'s a grey area regarding what is an original Elford as all cars, in effect, had a \'kit\' fitted. Some, like Johns, had it fitted to a new car, others were ex press cars that Elford bought off Mazda UK and then converted and some were done by Elford when the car was a few years old but are these any less Elford?
There is nothing in the chassis number, on the body or on the V5 to identify it as an Elford so basically, even cars fitted with the Elford turbo setup recently, like mine, are just as much Elfords as cars done years ago.
I suppose we could argue that an orginal is one converted by Elford Turbo Ltd themselves but there again, and not being big headed here, I\'ve made a better job of installing the set up into my car than they have on the cars I\'ve seen. Wiring with scotchlocks and speaker wire.... not what you\'d expect from them really even if they were more pushed for time than me.

I missed Ians call tonight so I\'ll try to speak to him tomorrow and get the full sp on this car.

Good point Ian, and I think your are right, look at E-types most of the repros are better than new and I\'m sure yours will be the same, I supose its me and this original thing, but unless you have owned one from new who knows what could have happenen 25 odd years down the road.

had a chat with him and got some more pics...was proper interested but now he\'s hiked the price up to £2500... and I really thought it would be a nice addition to the 3 other rx7\'s I own :(...

has some rust here and there and needs a new passenger door and driver window mechanism just so any prospective buyers know.

Ian65

£2500?
... can\'t see it making that much in this weather or financial climate, either as a trade in or anywhere else.
When was the last time we saw a 1st gen of any description make £2500?
Oh well... I still stand by my previous valuation £1500- £2000

here are a few more pics of it but the last I\'m posting... I\'ve done my bit to try and help.

Lead me not into temptation, I can find it myself...
But i can always do with some help now due to, my advancing years!

antnicuk

i phoned and had a chat with the guy and he said he is looking for £2500,  at which point i also lost interest!  Its not worth it in that colour and condition.  I think he has obviously seen the interest and is chancing his luck.  He said he paid £2500 when he bought it 10 years ago!
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

captainbizzaro

How can you go from being happy to accept a crappy offer from a dealer to wanting £2500?!? Is Don Wyatt involved? :D

Here\'s Interesting Boyos....

The truly eagle eyed will have spotted it has an SA22C VIN. And a Yoyo Kogyo Vin Plate.

Now it surely seems to be S2 so I wonder if it\'s a Japan car (import).

So far as I know the SA22C designation was changed for all UK S2s to JMZFB. But maybe the change was part way into early S2 production.

Also when did Mazda drop the Toyo Kogyo part of their history?

Nothing of any consequence guys, just another puzzle.
