Not sure if this ad had been posted previously?

Yes, it was posted a bit back Os.

I think I said looked like a nice car and easy to get hold of in Spain.

Quote from: Casey;744665OK, the RPM might be interested in this one, if no-one else is up for saving it?

Does anyone know any previous history on the car? I\'m planning to call the seller soon to get some more info.

If it is a runner, an the MOT was just a lapse, not a major failure, then we might go and take a look. If so, I\'ll be seeking some advice from you expert 1st Gen guys on what we should be looking for (e.g. rust in sills, wheelarches, under carpets, plus mechanical stuff to check....) :god

Although we are happy to spend some sensible money on getting the car up to scratch, we don\'t want to take on a money "black hole" :)

Have a word with \'Ian\' Casey - Ian produced a "1st Gen FB Buyers Guide" last year, surely has to be of use.

No idea what this seller is up to. Left a message two days ago, in response to the "gumtree" £400 ad. I haven\'t had a call back and now he\'s asking a grand, for a with no MOT! No chance, lost interest in that one now.

Wonder what the shell is like. £350 + a 2nd hand clutch and a couple of hours to fit it and run it through an MOT would be pretty damn cheap motoring...
