I think you\'re right Ian, wonder how it handles with all the extra weight up front.

crap I would imagine.... if someone wants a V8 engined car, why not buy one that\'s been designed, built and engineered by a car manufacturer thats goes, stops, handles and looks like should.

The whole point of a RX7 is the rotary engine... take that out and all is lost!

I hear you.

V8s in the right time and place are awesome, but they don\'t belong in 7s.

To me I think its about matching chassis character to engine character. If any piston engine were to go in an rx7 (though personally thats not the game) it should be something like a f20c vtec, or 4age. Something light and small and responsive, that matches the nimble chassis.

Where as if you really wanted to swap an american v8 into a jap car it kinda seems more appropriate for a supra or something thats kinda larger and bulkier.

All that said, if someone offered me a Ferrari v8, and said I could only use it if it went in my 7, I think I\'d take them up on it for the noiiiise alone!

Reminds me of my old FC... seen a lot more cars around with the red and black bonnet scheme... makes me wonder if I\'m a design genius without knowing lol

I know where my money would be going.

.

Auction finished tonight & sold for £200.00 - somebody has quite a bit of work to do on this one , worth doing though.
